Objectives

The aim of this module is to qualify participants, through theoretical and practical training, to use basic personal protective equipment and perform safe work at height and safe and comprehensive basic rescue from height in a remote wind turbine environment.

Target Audience

Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields and will have their duties in a wind turbine environment, typically in physical contact with wind turbines or offshore wind structures. Personnel who perform job functions that have been assessed for risk by their employer or their workplace duty holder as a function, where training in accordance with one or more modules of the BST standard can mitigate the identified risks.

Requirement

All personnel participating in this training must be medically fit and able to fully participate. Participants' signatures attesting to their medical fitness will be collected before the start of the module. Furthermore, participants must have created a personal participant profile on WINDA and provided their own WINDA ID before completing the BST training.
